Live Earth Hamburg Produced in HDTV

ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion will supply the Hamburg Live Earth concert as a worldwide high-definition feed.

ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion will produce the Hamburg Live Earth concert in HDTV and provide broadcasters worldwide with a high-definition signal. The climate-awareness event comprises nine concerts across every continent over 24 hours.

At Hamburg’s HSH Nordbank Arena, the company’s Outside Production and Line Management department will act as technical service provider to host broadcaster ProSieben Television. Fourteen cameras will cover the event.

The production company is responsible for the complete infrastructure, including production and recording management, coordination of outside-broadcast vehicles and satellite news gathering, and provision of camera crews.

All HD signals from the worldwide Live Earth concerts will converge at the company’s Munich playout centre before distribution to ProSieben and N24.

ProSieben will broadcast on 7 July from 17:00 to 20:15 and from 23:15 to 03:00. N24 begins live coverage from all nine concerts at 03:10. The Hamburg line-up includes Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Chris Cornell, Jan Delay, Katie Melua, Michael Mittermeier, Roger Cicero and Snoop Dogg, with Katharina Witt presenting.
