Bogen Imaging has expanded the Manfrotto range with the 561B and 562B video monopods. The models use a stronger, more stable construction than the consumer-oriented 560B and target electronic-news-gathering work and other locations where a conventional tripod cannot be deployed.
The four-section 561B reaches 200 cm with its 701-series fluid video head and supports equipment weighing up to 4 kg. Three folding stabilisers at the foot and an integrated fluid cartridge support panning movement.
A fluid head with a 501 camera plate provides tilt movement. Despite its 200 cm maximum height, the 561B folds to 76 cm and weighs 2 kg.
The 562B is designed for broadcast cameras. It shares the same basic construction but uses an adjustable 357PLV plate and supports cameras weighing up to 8 kg. The plate can be positioned at the camera’s centre of gravity. Maximum height is 193 cm, folded length is 69 cm and weight is 1.43 kg.
