Band Pro Delivers Germany’s First Sony F23s

Band Pro presents and delivers the first Sony F23 digital-cinema cameras to German customers.

Band Pro Munich presented its first Sony F23 cameras at Digital Cinematography 2007, held during the Munich Film Festival from 22 to 30 June. The presentation included delivery to the first two German customers, Chroma TV and Cinegate GmbH.

Band Pro organised the event with MK Media Production and Ludwig Kameraverleih. The HD specialist was the first German dealer to receive the heavily pre-ordered Sony cameras introduced at NAB 2007 in Las Vegas.

The F23 is a CineAlta acquisition camera supporting 4:4:4 RGB processing at 1920 by 1080 for high-end digital production. Its controls, displays and menus follow film-camera conventions, and standard film-camera accessories can attach without additional mounting hardware.

The camera uses three progressive 2.2-megapixel 2/3-inch CCD sensors and a 14-bit A/D converter. Recording formats include 1080/23.98p, 24p, 25p, 29.97p, 50p, 59.94p, 50i and 59.94i.

Sony’s SRW-1 digital 4:4:4 HDCAM SR recorder can mount directly on the front or rear of the F23, bringing HDCAM SR recording into the acquisition package.
