Bogen Imaging is offering fitted camcorder protection for current Canon, Panasonic, Sony and JVC models. A thermal-forming process uses semi-rigid foam and a textile covering to reproduce the external shape of each camera.
Once fitted, the Kata DV Guard remains wrapped around the HDV camcorder. It is designed to protect the body from impacts, scratches, dust and dirt without restricting operation. Transparent panels, cable openings and access flaps provide control and monitoring of camera functions.
On models with a built-in lens, the lens section can be folded back to attach a matte box. Camcorders with a professional viewfinder receive a flexible protective sleeve.
The Kata DV Guard is available for the Panasonic AG-HVX200, Sony HVR-Z1 and HDR-FX1, Canon XL H1 and XL2, and JVC GY-HD100, 110, 200 and 250. The recommended retail price is €179 including VAT.
