C.3 Production House Chooses eQ for High-End Productions in HD

The name C.3 is composed of the company’s founding principles: Complete communications solutions (‘C’) for the three areas of design, production and management. Thomas Horlebein, one of the founding members of C.3 and senior editor, explains the reasons for choosing Quantel’s eQ as the key system for the company’s HD focus: “A large proportion of our high-end customers, including major automobile manufacturers, demand HD quality for their high-quality productions, which

are frequently new product launches in the market. eQ was developed from the ground up for processing HD and therefore delivers exceptional image quality. In addition, the eQ’s extreme speed allows customers to participate directly in postproduction. Decisions can be made interactively and the results inspected immediately on screen. The result is higher quality, more creative solutions and more satisfied customers,” concludes Horlebein.

“When a new car model is launched, color processing of the high-quality material plays a decisive role in the production process,” Horlebein continues. “The contextual QColor color correction function integrated into the eQ gives us full interactive control over every aspect of color. Our customers love that – and can be sure that their product looks exactly as perfect on the screen as it does in the showroom.”

C.3 has already tested the new eQ on two major launch videos for new models from Porsche and Skoda. “The result is outstanding,” Horlebein sums up. “Unfortunately, we still have to wait until we can show the results to the public, since the projects are still strictly secret until the presentation of the new models at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt this September.”
