With My FOCUS, FOCUS Online is launching the first consistently customizable online news magazine in Germany. At the address http://mein.focus.de, users can assemble any content from FOCUS Online via “drag & drop”. Political news, knowledge videos, the “Pictures of the Day” or favorite columnists can be combined into a new, personal news homepage within minutes.

Every article on FOCUS Online also has a bookmarking function and can be added to a user’s bookmark collection in “My FOCUS”. Any other online sources can also be subscribed to – the news of the “New York Times”, favorite blogs or the latest job advertisements.

“We have a very active community”, FOCUS Online Editor-in-Chief Jochen Wegner says, “which is playing an increasingly strong part in shaping our offering. With My FOCUS, we are now giving it its own platform, which we will consistently expand over the course of the coming months.”

Users can already make their personal news homepages public and show which sources they have subscribed to, which articles they have bookmarked and which comments they have written. Every My FOCUS user also automatically has a personal guestbook.

My FOCUS is currently in beta testing and will receive its finishing touches in the coming days.
