Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium provides an integrated cross-media workflow for postproduction and rich-media work, covering creation and delivery for film, television, web, DVD and mobile devices. Creative Suite 3 Master Collection combines twelve Adobe applications in one package. Together with the previously released Design and Web editions, the products complete the launch of the Creative Suite 3 family.
Jason Zada, Executive Creative Director and founder of San Francisco digital-content agency EVB, said the central benefit was integration between applications. His company expected the workflow to save substantial production time.
Workflows from acquisition to delivery
Creative Suite 3 Production Premium combines After Effects CS3 Professional, Premiere Pro CS3, Encore CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional and Soundbooth CS3. Each application is also available separately.
Premiere Pro CS3 adds support for new formats and a Time Remapping tool for slow motion and variable-speed adjustments. After Effects CS3 introduces shape layers for drawing and animating vector forms. Its Puppet Tool deforms 2D images for animation, while Brainstorm generates and previews variations of an animation. Soundbooth CS3 supports cleaning audio recordings, refining voice-overs, and creating music and sound effects.
The suite also includes Adobe OnLocation CS3 for direct-to-disk recording and monitoring, and Adobe Ultra CS3 for chroma-key work. Mac users require Boot Camp and a separately purchased copy of Windows, or a separate Windows computer, to run OnLocation. Ultra CS3 is included only in the Windows edition.

Creative Suite 3 Master Collection includes InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, Contribute CS3, After Effects CS3 Professional, Premiere Pro CS3, Soundbooth CS3, Encore CS3 and Acrobat 8 Professional. The package supports content development for print, web, interactive applications, mobile devices, video and film.
Pricing and availability
Creative Suite 3 Production Premium and Master Collection support Intel-based Macintosh systems, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Both are available through retailers and the Adobe Store. Master Collection costs approximately €2,999 before VAT, while Production Premium costs approximately €2,199 before VAT.
