Absolute Development will build an Internet-based form service (SaaS – Software as a Service) especially for small and medium-sized enterprises on the basis of Adobe LiveCycle ES. Both companies have signed a corresponding OEM agreement.
LiveCycle ES enables companies and organizations to build uniform design environments for document creation and distribution. These meet the requirements for interactivity, on-demand provision and batch processing of documents. The LiveCycle solutions use the common Adobe Reader as well as Adobe PDF and XML standards, which capture information from users and integrate it into the existing infrastructure of your organization. All applications in the Adobe LiveCycle product family are J2EE-compatible and can be deployed on industry-standard application servers.
As an «Adobe Forms Service Provider», Absolute Development now receives the right to offer a corresponding service in Switzerland as well as in the countries of the EU and EFTA. The service enables every company to obtain up to 15 «Reader Extended» PDF forms per year for its own use. The prices for a «Reader Extended» PDF form depend on company size and start at around 350 euros or CHF 600 per form (excluding VAT). Absolute Development currently offers «Reader Extended» and «Barcoded» PDF forms directly to end customers. The Internet-based form service (SaaS), including Datacapture, is expected to go into operation in the 1st quarter of 2008.
