Horse racing is both a British tradition and a substantial market. The British Horseracing Board has selected Sony to provide an end-to-end video-archiving system.
The customised installation uses XDCAM HD PDW-F75 recorders, an XDCAM Cart Machine, Sony HDXchange and a PetaSite archive system. It will allow the board’s technical service provider, RaceTech, to record and archive more than 1,400 professional horse races in Britain each year.
