The Berlin-Brandenburg region has the densest and most differentiated cluster for games in Germany. It encompasses game development, publishing, research and education, associations and the trade press. Against this background, high-profile institutions have joined forces in the Serious Games Berlin network. Partners in the network are successful 3-D game developers such as RotoBee, zeroscale, Yager and Radonlabs, which develop the globally recognised open-source games engine “Nebula”, as well as morgen studios, which produce high-quality edutainment.
The network will present itself at this year’s Games Convention in the Business Center of Neue Messe Leipzig from August 22 to 26, 2007 in Hall 1, GC Business Center, F 50, (joint stand of the G.A.M.E. association).
As part of the Games Convention Developers Conference (GCDC), the leading European developers’ conference, an internationally high-profile panel will also discuss the subject of “Serious Games” on August 21, 2007. In addition, member companies of the network will present their technologies and business development strategies.
