Spatial View Adds Glasses-Free 3D Gaming

Spatial View’s MU 1913 is a 19-inch glasses-free multiuser 3D gaming display based on NEC’s MultiSync LCD90GX2.

Spatial View will present a 19-inch TFT display developed for gaming at the Games Convention in Leipzig. The system uses NEC Display Solutions’ MultiSync LCD90GX2 as its base, with a 2 ms response time and glossy surface selected for stereoscopic display. The Spatial View MU 1913 is a multiuser screen intended to present 3D imagery to nearby viewers. Its preferred viewing distance was reduced from 150 cm to 70 cm.

Spatial View specialises in autostereoscopic displays that produce spatial imagery without glasses. Earlier applications included marketing, engineering, medicine, and geographic-information systems. Driver software developed by VisuMotion of Jena enables PC games to use the display, provided the host computer supplies sufficient performance.

Spatial View and NEC Display Solutions entered a European distribution agreement for the 3D monitor technology. The 19-inch 3D Display Gaming Edition was available at a trade-show price of €999 including VAT, driver, and software package.

The companies will demonstrate it at the Speed-Link stand F 22 in Hall 4, in the gaming tent, and at the Freaks4U stand F31 in Hall 4.
