DVS Demonstrates 4K and Broadcast Workflows

DVS will demonstrate real-time 4K editing, HDTV broadcast systems, digital-cinema workflows, and OEM integrations at IBC.

At IBC stand 7.421, DVS will demonstrate methods for customising postproduction and broadcast workflows. Current versions of its products and their new features will be organised around broadcast, digital cinema, 4K, and partnerships.

4K

DVS described its DI systems as the only products then capable of processing 4K material in real time. The latest CLIPSTER version performs key 4K editing operations without rendering delays, including zoom and pan, cropping, primary colour correction, and 3D LUT processing.

Broadcast

Digital processing was becoming increasingly important as broadcasters moved to HDTV. The new multichannel ProntoXway disk recorder handles HD material for broadcast production. DVS also positions ProntoXway, CLIPSTER, and DVS-SAN as integrated components for high-performance broadcast workflows.

Digital Cinema

Digital-cinema production uses technologies including JPEG 2000 and requires systems designed for DCI specifications. DVS will demonstrate how its products fit into digital-cinema workflows.

Partnerships

DVS works with other manufacturers particularly in the OEM segment. Partners integrate DVS boards into their own systems, and the company will demonstrate those international integrations at its IBC stand.
