Rimage Video Protect Blocks Rip and Copy Programs

Rimage Video Protect is part of the Rimage Software Suite and is intended to guarantees seamless execution as well as an accelerated workflow when using QuickDisc or Rimage Rapid API during authoring. Users can, for example, provide the data carrier with reliable protection during the production of a DVD when they produce it on a Digital Publishing System from Rimage and use Video Protect at the same time.

Rimage Video Protect is intended to reliably block rip and copy programs without impairing the playback quality of protected content. Films can, for example, be played back in the best quality but cannot be copied.

The Rimage application is a passive software solution that, for example, encapsulates files on a DVD and protects them ripping programs. The digital content of the respective original file remains untouched, because the Copy Control files are stored in the areas of the data carriers that are not needed when the actual content is played back. Additional software does not have to be installed on the playback devices.

Independent test laboratories such as Intellikey Labs and Next Generation Security Consulting confirm that Rimage Video Protect ensures both faithful playback of the digital content and high compatibility without installing additional software on users’ computers or modifying systems.
