Sony presented an integrated professional HD production environment at IBC 2007.
The workflow covered acquisition, editing, distribution, monitoring and playback. Products included the SRW-5800 HDCAM SR recorder, BVM-L230 professional flat-panel monitor and HDW-790P HDCAM camera.
Sony also showed the HDC-1450 system camera. The single-format model connected over triax cable and captured 50 progressive frames per second.
Networked HD products and Sony Professional Services extended the chain through production, transmission and archiving.
The Polsat 2 outside-broadcast vehicle demonstrated a customised system for live-event transmission.
