Sony Creative Software announced updates to its home-studio applications for video editing, DVD creation, audio production and music composition.
The Windows Vista-compatible range comprised Vegas Movie Studio 8, Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8, Sound Forge Audio Studio 9 and ACID Music Studio 7.
Vegas Movie Studio handled video editing and DVD projects. Sound Forge Audio Studio covered audio editing and production, while ACID Music Studio supplied music creation and mixing tools.
The applications shared consistent interfaces, context-sensitive help and interactive Show Me How tutorials.
Sony also added Vista compatibility to DVD Architect Studio and Photo Go.
The suite was derived from the company’s professional audio and video software but aimed at home users and emerging creators working across multiple media formats.
