After the heavy defeat in its court case against the open-source operating system Linux, the company SCO took refuge on Friday under Paragraph 11 of US insolvencyy law.
The corresponding clause gives insolvent companies the opportunity to reorganize under strict guidelines, protected from their creditors.
Silicon Graphics successfully followed this path last year.
