Sanyo Adds XGA Projectors for Bright Rooms

Sanyo’s PLC-XU75 and PLC-XU78 combine XGA imaging, 2,500 or 3,000 ANSI lumens, blackboard correction and rapid power cycling.

Sanyo introduced the PLC-XU75 and PLC-XU78 projectors for classrooms, lecture halls and meeting rooms.

The PLC-XU75 produced 2,500 ANSI lumens, while the PLC-XU78 reached 3,000 ANSI lumens. Both used 1024 × 768 XGA resolution and accepted signals up to 1600 × 1200. Eco-mode noise was rated at 29 dB for the XU75 and 28 dB for the XU78.

A blackboard mode adjusted white balance and gamma for projection onto green boards. Digital vertical keystone correction covered ±20 degrees, and optical zoom supported changing room layouts.

Direct Power On/Off allowed immediate startup from mains power and shutdown by disconnecting it. Key Lock disabled the panel controls, while a PIN-code lock restricted startup.

MyLogo displayed a custom image before, after or between presentations. The on-screen menu supported 16 languages, and each 3.1 kg projector included a three-year warranty plus one year on the lamp.

Recommended prices including VAT were €1,070 for the PLC-XU75 and €1,450 for the PLC-XU78.
