Remote maintenance goes mobile

Remote Software Solution specialist NTRglobal is clearly focusing on mobile remote access and support of IT systems at this year’s Systems: Using reference examples, the company will show in Hall A2, Stand 326, how IT administrators will in future be able to access the IT infrastructure to be managed from any location with their Pocket PC using NTRadmin.

The focus is on the new interface in NTRsupport, with which companies can, for example, conveniently equip all the handhelds of their field staff with the current firmware at the push of a button. Further central topics during the trade-fair appearance from October 23 to 26, 2007 in Munich are platform independence as well as the flexible licensing models of the NTRsupport, NTRadmin and NTRconnect solutions.

“The demand for remote-maintenance solutions is rising noticeably,” says Michael Kessler, CEO of NTR Germany GmbH. “And it makes no difference whether it is a call center, a public authority or a medium-sized automotive supplier. Whenever it is a matter of IT-supported maintenance or problem solving, our systems make life considerably easier for the administrators responsible. Alongside this, we offer customers flexible license models in order to be able to guarantee the greatest possible flexibility here too.”

NTRglobal’s flagship product is the NTRsupport remote-maintenance solution. It enables Windows, Mac and Linux users alike to receive secure and fast remote support. The solution was developed especially for use in heterogeneous IT landscapes in order to answer IT support requests promptly and independently of the operating system. Only an Internet connection is required, whereby every system access, every remote control and every monitoring operation must be personally authorized. Alongside this, with NTRadmin the company presents software with which administrators and service providers can easily control, manage and monitor any IT network. The clever thing: The integrated NTRadmin Bots are intelligent, virtual robots that can be programmed so that they automatically carry out all everyday IT administration work. The remote-access solutions NTRconnect and NTRconnet Pro complete this year’s trade-fair appearance. With them, business travelers are, for example, able to transfer large files securely from any PC, Mac or Pocket PC to the remote computer – and thus save themselves from carrying a laptop and USB stick.

NTRglobal distributes its solutions as a Software as a Service (SaaS) model and on-premise license variant, thereby offering its customers the necessary flexibility in application.
