Remy, the rat-hot cook, and the other stars of the just-released animated film “Ratatouille” will take not only the hearts of cinema-goers young and old but also the mobile phone by storm. This is ensured by the company carmunity.com, which on behalf of THQ Wireless, Inc., one of the world market leaders in mobile entertainment, created a mobile portal for “Ratatouille” in just a few weeks. There, the mobile surfer can download wallpapers, ringtones, Java games and screensavers relating to the new Disney-Pixar film. Payment is made via WAP billing simply through the user’s mobile-phone bill. carmunity owes the commission to implement the portal, which is also available in Italy, Great Britain, Spain and France in the respective national language, to its content management system m-con, which was specially developed in the company for creating and maintaining mobile portals. The storyboard was able to be implemented quickly and cost-effectively thanks to m-con®. “Via m-con it was possible for us to implement the portals for five countries in just four weeks and at the same time remain flexible for various changes,” says Frank Rothgänger, managing director of carmunity.com GmbH. “Not only the international billing interfaces, but also the mobile-phone-optimized deliveries that the system includes automatically were decisive for the commission from THQ Wireless,” Rothgänger further explains.
