The central performance feature of the Twister Dolly is the combined pneumatic and rail wheels. From now on, they enable dolly moves on rails (rail gauge 62 cm) or on pneumatic tires without a time-consuming conversion still being necessary. In addition, with the dolly’s low overall width of 78 cm, passing through doors can be implemented effortlessly.
Through the three selectable steering modes FRONT, REAR and ROUND-A-ROUND, the Twister Dolly can turn skillfully in all directions and be guided exactly around the subject. Depending on the requirement, either only the front or rear wheels move independently of one another or all four wheels move together. Even the tightest curves are unproblematic with the minimum inner steering radius of 50 cm. Both steering axles have optimized steering geometry for precise curves without scrubbing and thus minimal running noise. This makes reproducible circular moves with the Twister Dolly possible even without rails. A novel steering push-bar developed by Panther combines the familiar drawbar operation with a stable push-bar. With one hand movement, the drawbar becomes a practical handlebar for push operation.
The Twister Dolly can be used equally for film or HD applications. It has a load capacity of up to 250 kg and can be expanded with various attachable platforms. As usual, mounting options for common Panther accessories such as a turnstile, Euro adapter, seat pin and bowl are available.
The Twister Dolly is available from the beginning of next year.
