The innovative sidebar makes searching for and remembering relevant web links child’s play, and users can now see the latest links from friends or colleagues at a glance. Building an individual and central pool of knowledge at http://www.oneview.de is thus even easier: Anyone looking for information finds bookmarks on the platform that other users find interesting and recommend. These and their own favorite links are stored permanently on oneview and thus found again and again. Through continuous bookmarking, a valuable source of knowledge gradually emerges.

„oneview is the online memory on the net – here users can remember the ‚pearls’ from the flood of information and find them again and again,“ explains Marcus Rudert, Managing Director of oneview GmbH. „The more users store links in oneview, the larger the central source of knowledge on the Internet becomes. Gradually, the search engine by people for people creates an alternative to Google. With new features such as the Firefox extension, we make using oneview even easier and better.“

Another new development is the function of displaying further links to users during their search. The search result no longer consists only of the conventional list of links; instead, the user also receives relevant bookmarks from friends, public networks, experts or their own bookmarks on the subject being searched for. This function represents a broader range of information through which one’s own pool of knowledge is enlarged. In addition, one can get in touch with other users. This enables easier exchange of information with users who have similar interests. Experts on the subject can also be found in this way.

Also new is the continuous search in the background for URLs that no longer work. If oneview discovers a faulty link, it is immediately displayed as „invalid“. For anyone who wants to keep information from a website forever, oneview offers a special function: Thanks to the „Copy page“ feature, the user can remember the content forever, even if the link to the actual webpage no longer works or the website is no longer online.
