Australian Broadcasting Corporation purchased 46 AJA Kona 3 video capture and playback systems as part of a nationwide rebuild of its editing pipeline.
Kona 3 became the new interface standard for ABC editors. The systems supported SD, HD, dual-link HD and 2K pipelines.
The cards were intended to accelerate Apple Final Cut Pro workflows and handle Panasonic DVCPRO50, DVCPRO HD and Apple ProRes 422 media.
