DP: Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress-GmbH is organizing the digital creation days in cooperation with DIGITAL PRODUCTION. To what extent does a trade fair with this focus complement your program?
Gerald Böse: With the digital creation days, KMK offers the digital creation industry its own networking event with a focus on the German-speaking region. We address the creative minds and decision-makers from broadcast, film, industrial design, 3D visualization, computer graphics, animation and games with a workshop program featuring top-class speakers and the trade fair.
DP: Why is the Karlsruhe Congress Center particularly suitable for staging the digital creation days and the animago AWARD?
Gerald Böse: The CongressCenter offers visitors, exhibitors and workshop speakers optimal conditions for a networking event. The short routes from the workshops to the trade fair support the informal get-together between workshops, discussion sessions and talks. We have also set up an animago cinema lounge in the Congress Center. The production works submitted for the animago AWARD are shown there. The Congress Center is also within walking distance of the main railway station and is optimally connected to the motorway and Karlsruhe airport.
DP: What speaks in favor of Karlsruhe as a trade-fair location?
Gerald Böse: The Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion offers ideal conditions for trade fairs and congresses. The university, the research center and ZKM stand for innovation and progress worldwide. Karlsruhe offers IT and media startups an optimal business start-up climate. Around 20,000 specialists work in more than 2,500 companies in the TechnologyRegion. In Baden-Württemberg, there are more than 12,000 companies active in the software and data processing industry. Alongside the Congress Center, our state-of-the-art exhibition grounds with a hall area of 52,000 square meters also speak in favor of Karlsruhe.
