ViewSonic introduced three native XGA projectors with 1,024 × 768 resolution. The PJ758, PJ759 and PJ760 produced 2,200, 2,700 and 3,200 ANSI lumens respectively and used 3LCD imaging for business and education applications.
Projection and setup
A wide-angle lens, automatic keystone correction and optical zoom supported projection from distances of less than one metre. In Eco mode, the UHB lamp was rated for about 3,000 hours, while operating noise was specified at 29 dB.
A heat-dissipation system allowed the projector to be disconnected from power immediately after use without waiting for a cooling cycle.
Two analogue VGA inputs accepted two computers simultaneously. Separate composite, S-Video and component inputs were also provided, together with VGA output for monitoring the projected image on a local display. The remote control could operate mouse functions.
Security and presets
Security features included a reinforced anchor point, PIN protection and position sensing that disabled the projector after unauthorized movement. Users could load custom startup screens, assign preferred controls to remote buttons and store four projection setups for different rooms or image preferences.
