PTV Professional Television began distributing AJA Video’s FS-1, a compact 19-inch converter for analogue and digital video and audio in SD and HD broadcast workflows.
The FS-1 could operate as an upconverter, downconverter, analogue-to-digital or digital-to-analogue converter, proc amp, and cross-converter between HD formats. It also included conversion for analogue and digital audio.
Connections and control
Video interfaces comprised SD/HD-SDI input and output, component analogue HD/SD input and output, and composite or S-Video input and output with time-base correction. Audio support included eight channels of unbalanced AES, balanced analogue audio input and output, and eight channels of embedded audio.
A 10/100 Ethernet interface provided SNMP monitoring and web-server remote control. The unit also offered RS-422 control and a TTL-level GPI input.
Two independent redundant universal power supplies were installed as standard for improved operating reliability.
Pricing
PTV offered the FS-1 at an introductory price of €3,190 excluding VAT and shipping.
