The Panasonic AG-HPX500 can use Chrosziel’s 401-89 lightweight support designed for Panasonic cameras. Using the camera handles requires a heavy-duty support. Owners of an existing Chrosziel HD support for Panasonic cameras need only a new sliding component to use the HPX500 with their current accessories. The sliding piece costs around €70, while the complete new 401-87A5 HD support costs approximately €500.
Chrosziel has also prepared accessories for Sony’s PMW-EX1 solid-state camcorder. The 401-417 lightweight support fits the EX1 as well as Sony’s Z1 and FX1.
An 85 mm 410-39 finishing ring matches the camera’s Fujinon lens to the DV MatteBox MB 450 and sets the compendium position.
The DV Studio Rig follow-focus system works with the 206-24 gear ring, which is also used with Panasonic’s HVX200.
To convert the 2.9 kg EX1 into a shoulder-mounted configuration, Chrosziel’s DV Balancer clips beneath the lightweight support.
For a lighter configuration or a lens fitted with a wide-angle adapter, Chrosziel offers a screw-in ring that converts the M77 filter thread to the 104 mm standard. Combined with the SD 440 clamp-on matte box, it provides a lower-weight setup.
A further clamp ring adapts the system to 110 mm for the lighter SD 455R1, which also supports wide-angle adapters. The SD 455R1 has a rotating filter stage for polarising filters.
