Sanyo’s PLC-XL50 3LCD projector, previously shown at CeBIT, is now available through German specialist retailers. Its cooling and projection design supports horizontal and vertical placement for digital signage, education and corporate presentations.
The projector combines an extreme wide-angle optical system with an aspherical mirror that enlarges the lens image. Vertical keystone correction compensates by plus or minus five degrees. An 80-inch image can be produced with only eight centimetres between the projector and the screen, allowing installation in small rooms.
Presenters can stand directly in front of the screen without interrupting the light path. The unit can also project vertically onto walls, ceilings, floors or tables for maps, plans, advertising, public information, diagrams and photographs.
A colour-compensation function supports projection onto coloured surfaces, including green and black boards, and is designed to make the image appear as though shown on a white background.
The PLC-XL50 provides XGA resolution of 1,024 by 768 pixels and output of 2,000 ANSI lumens. Connections include two VGA inputs, S-Video and component video. A two-watt mono speaker is integrated.
An anti-theft system triggers an alarm if the unit is moved. Direct Power On/Off starts the projector when power is connected and permits immediate shutdown when the mains supply is removed.
The PLC-XL50 is available from December for €2,450 excluding VAT.
