Actimagine will demonstrate technology for delivering video to mobile platforms at Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. Its Mobiclip codec is designed to play full-screen video at DVD quality on mobile phones while reducing battery consumption.
HD video on a phone within seconds
The company will present a system for loading HD video onto a mobile phone within seconds. Users select and manage internet video, while films, webcam clips and television programmes are synchronised through the internet for mobile playback.
Other demonstrations include complete films and clips from Hollywood and Bollywood studios playing at 25 frames per second on smartphones; video output from a Nokia N95 to a 42-inch plasma display; and access to a webcam from a mobile phone.
