Until now, Telekom customers had to pay ten euros per month for this. Broadcasting the Bundesliga over the Internet is an important building block for the Bonn group in helping bundled packages of telephone, Internet and media content achieve a breakthrough.
Telekom transmits the matches over its high-speed network, with pay-TV broadcaster Premiere handling image production. The Bundesliga subscription is available from Premiere from 9.99 euros. By the beginning of December, Telekom had won 100 000 customers for its fast Internet offering Entertain, which includes the TV programme. A further approximately 50 000 are to follow by the end of the year.
