The 40- to 60-inch screens will be built at Sharp’s new factory in Sakai in Osaka Prefecture. The plant currently under construction will become the largest in the world, with investment costs of around 380 billion yen (2.3 billion euros).
The new plant is expected to begin operations by March 2010.
