One year after the introduction of Merlin 2, ProjectWizards is presenting version 2.5 of its successful project-management software for the Apple Macintosh. Merlin 2.5 offers a large number of new and distinctive features. The application’s core function is its networking capability, enabling teams to work jointly on projects. Projects can be shared in only four mouse clicks and managed just as easily, both on a local network and over the internet. This makes Merlin attractive, for example, for use in small offices via VPN.

Frank Blome, Managing Director of ProjectWizards GmbH, said: “With Merlin 2.5, there is finally a true network-capable project-management solution for the Mac that corresponds to the way large and small projects are worked on.”

Merlin 2.5 also offers more than one hundred further functions, including its own full user-and-rights concept, a dynamic planning mode, bidirectional synchronisation with Apple iCal, and a greatly expanded finance and cost model that allows planned-versus-actual comparison, among other things. The new functions of Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard,” such as Spotlight, Quick Look, Mail, iChat Theatre and Time Machine, are also supported by Merlin 2.5.

Thanks to this range of functions, projects in networked Mac environments can in future be planned, managed and executed even more accurately and reliably with Merlin 2.5.
