ViiF users can now watch current news, star profiles and selected clips from the MTV programme on their mobile phones. Every day, users also receive the latest MTV news with Markus Kavka, covering current developments in the music and entertainment business.

The cooperation between the two companies reflects an important current trend. The way mobile phones are used is changing rapidly. Teenagers and young adults have long used them for more than making calls or sending text messages. Instead, they have become all-round devices through which users want to obtain information and entertainment quickly and easily. Music clips, star profiles and news flashes are particularly suited to this new mobile medium. The user-friendly and technically innovative ViiF service responds effectively to demand for clips on mobile phones.

Daniel Höpfner, co-founder and Managing Director of ViiF: “We are very pleased to be able to integrate such an attractive brand as MTV into our offering. ViiF enables users to put together their own personal video programme. Naturally, we want to offer the best content and are very happy to have such an exciting partner as MTV Europe.”

ViiF works entirely independently of the mobile-phone provider and is intuitive to use. By dialling the short code 22557, users make a video call and can browse through the extensive programme. The special feature of ViiF is that users do not need to download additional software to their phones. Videos can be played from a wide range of programmes. Users can also record, comment on and send their own videos, or upload them to blogs and internet portals while on the move.
