In WarpFire, players secure resources, destroy pirates and seek to conquer the galaxy while hundreds of thousands of users play together and against one another. They pilot spacecraft through 16 sectors via jump gates, with a minimap and continuous mouse zoom; deeper space brings stronger opponents.

Players can join the galaxy’s military, leading business concerns or become pirates, and can play alone or in clans, peacefully or aggressively. Introductory quests provide an easy entry point, including for casual and new online gamers.

WarpFire was Gameforge’s 25th online game. CEO Klaas Kersting said the company aimed to bring the graphics of online games closer to those of PC and console games through space battles, sound effects and live action.
