TANDBERG Central Europe managing director Thomas Nicolaus said demand for high-quality videoconferencing was growing. The Codian MSE 8000 product range provided multipoint videoconferences, ISDN gateway, recording and supervisor functions, and the enhanced range supported up to 72 ISDN Primary Rate Interfaces in one chassis.

The MSE 8000 could support up to 1,000 simultaneous ISDN-to-IP videoconferences or up to 180 high-definition ISDN-to-IP conferences, three times the predecessor MSE 8310’s capacity. It provided eight PRI ports per blade, double the predecessor’s count, and supported nine ISDN blades, four times as many as before.

Nicolaus said the Codian products complemented the wider TANDBERG portfolio and would give customers a comprehensive option for integrating videoconferencing into their communications infrastructure.
