Sony Introduces Two HD Business Projectors

Sony has introduced the VPL-FH300L full-HD business projector and announced the VPL-FW300L Wide XGA variant.

The VPL-FH300L uses 3LCD panels with BrightEra technology and can be controlled remotely over a network. A redundant two-lamp system maintains projection if one lamp fails. Each lamp stores its operating hours and reports them to the projector so usage can be balanced. Optional lenses include wide-angle models.

Sony planned to offer the VPL-FW300L later with 1366 × 800 Wide XGA resolution and brightness of 7,000 ANSI lumens.

Sony Professional Solutions Europe senior product marketing manager Josh Honda said the two models extended the company’s business and education projector range into compact HD systems.
