S4M Reviews Second VPMS User Meeting

German commercial and public-service broadcasters met in Cologne for S4M’s second VPMS User Group Meeting.

VPMS is S4M’s Video Production Management System. Commercial and public-service broadcasters in Germany and elsewhere in Europe use it to create, manage, edit and distribute digital video material.

S4M head of digital media management Holger Noske said around 60 representatives from German television broadcasters attended for technical discussions and exchange of experience.

The two-day program included practical presentations, information about recent system developments and reports on current projects. VPMS users presented their production experience, including Hessischer Rundfunk’s Mirko Zimmer, who discussed the use of S4M software in the broadcaster’s tapeless-production program.
