Successful candidates receive the FileMaker 9 Certified Developer certificate and a corresponding logo for marketing and business materials such as business cards. Certified members of the FileMaker Business Alliance are also listed prominently as certified developers on the FileMaker website.
“The FileMaker 9 product family gives developers many new features that simplify their work and add value to the solutions they build,” said FileMaker GmbH managing director Hermann Anzenberger. He described the certification as a common standard that helps developers demonstrate expertise and assists customers in selecting a developer.
There are no admission requirements for the FileMaker 9 certification. FileMaker also offers the English-language FileMaker Training Series as preparation material for certification candidates and FileMaker specialists.
The self-paced FileMaker Training Series includes a color training book and training CD. It costs €99 through the FileMaker online store at http://www.filemaker.de/purchase/store/index.html. The series contains 12 training modules, demonstration files, exercises and videos. Instructor-led courses are available through authorized FileMaker training centers, with further information at http://www.filemaker.de/training.
