The PJ513D, PJ551D and PJ560D use a Texas Instruments DLP chip with BrilliantColor technology for presentations, films, podcasts and games.
ViewSonic has added dynamic contrast-ratio control to the three projectors. The system adjusts black levels in real time to match the current image content. The models provide contrast ratios up to 2000:1 on the PJ513D and 2500:1 on the PJ551D and PJ560D, with controls for color intensity and image adjustment on different projection surfaces.
ViewSonic says the projection lamps provide up to 3,500 hours of operation, an increase of as much as 15 percent. The lamps are designed for straightforward replacement, reducing replacement frequency and operating costs.
PJ513D and PJ551D
The entry-level PJ513D and PJ551D provide a dynamic contrast ratio of 2000:1, with native SVGA resolution of 800 × 600 on the PJ513D and XGA resolution of 1024 × 768 on the PJ551D. Both reach 2,200 ANSI lumens in standard mode. An Eco mode reduces operating noise, while vertical digital keystone correction compensates for geometric distortion when the projector is not aligned squarely with the screen.
PJ560D for education
The PJ560D is intended for schools, universities and other educational institutions. Its lamp is rated for up to 3,500 hours. An integrated RS-232 interface supports remote status monitoring and service controls. Five-watt stereo speakers provide audio for multimedia presentations, and preset modes optimize images projected onto black, white or green boards. The projector has a native resolution of 1024 × 768, brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens and a dynamic contrast ratio of 2500:1.
All three projectors carry a three-year warranty with on-site replacement service and a one-year lamp warranty. Suggested retail prices including VAT are €449 for the PJ513D, €629 for the PJ551D and €929 for the PJ560D.
