Corel Launches “The Painter Factory” Online Community

Corel has launched “The Painter Factory,” an online community for Corel Painter users, at http://www.painterfactory.com. The portal is the latest in a series of international community sites created by the graphics, office and digital-media software company to support its customers.

The Painter Factory is an online portal where members can find news from the Painter community. They can exchange ideas with other users and download additional content and resources. Artists, designers and photographers can discuss their ideas and work and collaborate on solutions to design problems. Members can also provide product feedback to Corel’s Painter design, development and marketing teams. Blogs by well-known Painter artists and an online gallery of their latest work round out the offering.

“We are delighted to provide Painter artists and fans with a forum for their experiences, ideas and work,” said Chris Boba, product manager for Corel Painter. “The Painter Factory already has hundreds of members. We expect the forum to continue growing because members can gain substantial benefits for their work by exchanging information with other digital artists.”

Corel Painter X is a painting and illustration application intended to blur the boundaries between traditional and digital art. Corel worked closely with photographers, artists and graphic designers when developing this version of the digital art studio. Its performance, composition tools and RealBristle painting system position Painter X as an application for digital painting and illustration.
