While the introduction of mobile TV continues to be delayed, mobile video service ViiF is going its own way. Germany’s first mobile video community, ViiF, now offers current news from the Reuters news agency on mobile phones. Whether on a suburban train, an Intercity train or in the queue at the cinema box office, news clips updated hourly keep users informed on their mobile phones about all the day’s important events at any time. The special feature: an Internet connection is not necessary. Users make a video call to the short code 22557 and can immediately access the news clips.

Mobile video service ViiF is characterised by its ease of use and works completely independently of the telephone provider. Without having to download additional software to their phones, users simply make a video call to the short code 22557 and can immediately browse the extensive programme. A varied offering is available in entertainment, music, sport and news. Users can also record, comment on and send their own clips, and post them to blogs and Internet portals from anywhere.
