The new version of the established authoring software supports the creation of Blu-ray Discs and DVDs using video recorded in AVCHD format.
PowerProducer 5 is available in two editions. PowerProducer 5 Ultra creates high-quality, professionally designed Blu-ray Discs and DVDs. AVCHD support allows users to produce discs containing highly compressed high-definition material. PowerProducer 5 DVD supports customized menu designs for DVDs and VCDs.
CyberLink has improved ease of use through a simplified, redesigned interface and added design tools for creating customizable disc menus with imported photographs and videos.

• Right-to-Disc direct burning: supports BDAV, BDMV, and DVD-VR.
• 5.1-channel Dolby Digital support: creates discs whose audio can be played on home-cinema sound systems.
• Magic Movie Assistant: automatically creates a finished film from individual clips after the user selects a theme and music.
• Slideshow styles: three animation styles for quickly creating slideshows.
• Magic Clean: automatically optimizes photo and video exposure and removes distracting background noise from video.
• White balance: adjusts the color temperature of video and photographs.
• Backlight correction: compensates for strong backlighting to make foreground subjects stand out more clearly.
