It can be used not only in schools and universities but also as a companion for business travelers.
The PLC-XW60 offers a comprehensive range of features for presentations even in unfavorable lighting conditions, including brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens and XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels.
UXGA computer compatibility is intended to keep every detail sharp. The high contrast ratio of 600:1 is also designed to contribute to a crisp image.
The Direct Power On/Off function allows users to connect the projector and start a presentation. It also enables the unit to be disconnected from the power supply without a long wait.
Users are also flexible in choosing where to place it. The PLC-XW60 provides automatic vertical keystone correction of plus or minus 20 degrees. At the same time, it offers a projection ratio of 1.33–1.62:1, corresponding to wide-angle optics with a 1.2x zoom.
This makes the projector suitable for use in smaller rooms with short projection distances.
A PIN-code function protects the projector when it is left unattended for an extended period, allowing only authorized users to operate it.
The mini projector is designed to conserve resources: lamp life of 3,500 hours in Eco mode and 2,000 hours in Normal mode is intended to provide long service before replacement becomes necessary.
The PLC-XW60 consumes 230 watts in Normal mode, 196 watts in Eco mode, and 3.8 watts in standby mode.
A carrying case is included.
The PLC-XW60 will be available from specialist retailers in early April for €850, the recommended retail price excluding VAT.
