The R7 provides a visual pixel pitch of seven millimetres. Each pixel uses four LEDs: one red, one blue and two green. Improved image processing and specialised pixel control are intended to enable the small pitch and high resolution. The wall is also recommended for smaller installations starting at nine square metres. Improved power supplies reduce power consumption, while each module weighs two kilograms less than the preceding R16 panel.
The factory-delivered Lighthouse R7 will make its debut during the first weekend of April at the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. A total of 350 R7 modules will form three walls measuring 50 square metres each. Further deployments are already booked for the coming summer. At the time of publication, material remains available for small public-viewing walls.
