DViCO TViX M-7000A Replaces M-5100A

DViCO’s TViX M-7000A networked AV player is scheduled to replace the M-5100A in April 2008.

The TViX M-7000A AV player, designed to reproduce nearly every audio and video format, connects to a home audio and video system.

Its design places particular emphasis on a distinctive appearance.

Equipped with the latest Sigma Designs SMP8635 chipset, the TViX HD-7000A is designed to play high-resolution video up to 1920 × 1080p, digital images and music files stored either on the optional internal hard drive or elsewhere on a computer network. USB 2.0 ports and a 10/100 Ethernet connection provide access to external data.

Its architecture allows the TViX M-7000A to process common data formats as well as files created with newer compression methods including H.264 BP@L3, MP@4.0 and HP@4.0.

Supported video formats include AVI, WMV, MPG, ISO, VOB, IFO, MP4, ASF, TP, TRP, TS, M2TS, MOV with H.264 and MKV. Audio support covers MP3, WMA, AAC, Ogg, PCM, M4A, AC3, FLAC and WAV.

The player can also reproduce complete DVD images like a DVD, including the functions familiar from a conventional DVD player.

The TViX M-7000A also has USB 2.0 host ports for directly connecting USB flash drives, USB MP3 players or external USB hard drives and accessing the multimedia data stored on them.

This digital jukebox lets users select stored video and audio files at any time by remote control. The TViX DVB-T Tuner 530 can also turn the TViX M-7000A into a fully featured digital video recorder.

The integrated HDMI 1.3a connection carries audio and video simultaneously. Component, S-Video and composite outputs are also available.

The TViX M-7000A has an Ethernet connection that makes data elsewhere on a computer network accessible. The player reproduces files directly from their storage location, so they do not need to be copied to the optional internal hard drive first.

The TViX M-7000A also includes numerous data-management functions. Users can manage folder structures and their contents by remote control, including copying, pasting, deleting and renaming data.
