At the same time, responding to the steadily growing demand for training in the media sector with an Apple-authorised training centre.

By founding the new company dieTrainer GmbH, company founders Udo Popp, Michael Brandt (dieAgenten medienberatung) and Eddie Daum (Beyondaudio) are responding to two market developments: the increasingly fluid transition between audio and video, and the steadily growing need for practical training opportunities in the media services sector.

True to the football coach’s rule “together we are strong”, dieAgenten medienberatung and Beyondaudio are now pooling their expertise. The result: seminar participants can be brought up to speed in all relevant areas of modern media services.

Udo Popp: “Development in hardware and software continues at a rapid pace, and systems are becoming ever more complex. Without competent support, it is therefore hardly possible to maintain an overview any more. This is where we offer help: in our new training centre, we specifically address our participants’ actual everyday requirements, individually and with the help of state-of-the-art technology.”

The new training room at Breisacher Straße 15 in Munich – within calling distance of the main offices of dieAgenten medienberatung and Beyondaudio – has space for eight seminar participants. Each training station is tastefully and functionally equipped with state-of-the-art media technology and its own workstation. Participants each work with their own system, equipped with SDI video cards, audio hardware and software from Apple, Avid, Adobe and Digidesign. In addition to comprehensive training, dieTrainer also offers preparation for and administration of Apple certifications.

It became clear shortly after opening that the new training facility had struck a chord with the media industry: alongside SWR employees, a ZDF team also had dieTrainer bring them up to speed in Final Cut Pro and Color. Bayerischer Rundfunk employees were also trained in ProTools. Michael Brandt: “But we are flexible. On request, we can also design and conduct entirely personalised training sessions.”
