With two bright projectors, SANYO is setting new standards in the business and education sector. Companies and educational institutions will find ideal presentation partners in the PLC-XU105 and PLC-XU115. With 4,500 ANSI lumens and a weight of 3.5 kilograms, both projectors are among the brightest mobile units weighing less than four kilograms. This makes the new models particularly suitable for conference rooms, schools and universities, as well as any situation requiring especially high brightness combined with frequent changes of location.
A lamp with a service life of 3,000 hours in Eco mode or 2,500 hours in Normal mode produces the exceptionally bright image of both projectors. A wide-angle lens with 1.6x optical zoom and a throw ratio of 1.15–1.85:1 ensures ideal reproduction from a short distance. This enables projection from up to eleven metres away. The XGA resolution of 1,024 × 768 pixels and a maximum of 1,600 × 1,200 pixels (U-XGA) delivers pin-sharp, natural-looking images with a contrast ratio of 500:1.
Thanks to extensive connectivity options such as DVI-I with HDCP and an RJ45 input, the PLC-XU115 can be used in many ways. It can also be integrated into a network via LAN or WLAN and, like the PLC-XU105, supports all common operating systems. An integrated SD card slot enables the PLC-XU115 to present images, graphics and PowerPoint presentations without a PC or laptop.
Both projectors are protected against theft or unauthorised use by PIN code and key-lock functions. The Direct Power on/off function lets users connect the projector and start a presentation within seconds. This saves time without affecting lamp life. The MyLogo function lets users personalise their presentations: instead of an empty background, a chosen image can provide an original introduction before or between presentations. With 360-degree installation, the PLC-XU105 and PLC-XU115 are extremely flexible and can also project onto the ceiling or floor.
A carrying case and remote control are among the items supplied with both projectors. From the beginning of April, the PLC-XU105 will be available from specialist retailers for €1,850 and the PLC-XU115 for €2,150 (recommended retail prices excluding VAT).
With a three-year warranty on the projector and one year on the lamp, plus a free replacement service in Germany and Switzerland that provides a substitute unit within 24 hours for the duration of a repair, SANYO offers buyers a high level of reliability.
