Toon Boom Studio Express is the little brother of Toon Boom Studio. After the main program was already available in the new version 4, the manufacturer has now followed with the stripped-down Express variant.
New features include:
- a flexibly configurable user interface
- calligraphic line styles
- feathered edges that simulate blur and glow effects
- a Flash preloader and HTML embedding
- plus more than 30 other new features
Compared with the professional version, however, Toon Boom Studio Express 4 is significantly limited in its functionality: for example, it has only one camera, one scene and a length limit of 1,000 frames.
