From April 24 to 27, 2008, MGR International will exhibit at the High End show in Munich for the first time in cooperation with Datacolor. Alongside demonstrations of high-quality video images, the focus will be on display calibration and manufacturer-independent AV training. Together with Stewart Filmscreen, Audioquest and heimkinomarkt.de, MGR International and Datacolor will create a genuine Hollywood atmosphere in Atrium 4, Room E119 – cinema tickets and fresh popcorn included!
The focal point of MGR’s exhibition is the new training programme that MGR International will offer to industry and retailers in cooperation with Datacolor in future. In addition to introducing multi-level professional Joe Kane Productions (JKP) training, Datacolor’s new ColorFacts Professional 7.5 calibration software and Spyder3TV will be presented to the public. Trade visitors will have the opportunity to view the differences between calibrated and uncalibrated images on various displays and explore Datacolor products.

MGR International and Datacolor will also introduce their new websites, which provide detailed information on display calibration as well as a new ordering system for training offerings and calibation equipment. There will also be a demonstration of JKP’s latest training programme. HD Basic is a Blu-ray test disc that contains an enormous collection of test patterns in 720p and 1080p formats as well as a 90-minute HDTV information programme featuring, among others, legendary cinematographer Allen Daviau (including E.T., The Color Purple and Van Helsing).
Alongside the display area for demonstrating calibration equipment, a gigantic home cinema will be available, with film screenings taking place at regular intervals. In addition to the MGR/Datacolor workshops already mentioned, HDMI workshops are planned to address problems with modern HDMI connections and HDMI installations. Beyond the workshops’ demonstration and information content, trade visitors will also be able to learn about the participating exhibitors’ latest products: high-end screens from Stewart Filmscreen, speaker and video cables from Audioquest, the home cinema yearbook from the MovieHome editorial team, and the service and product portfolios of Datacolor and MGR International.
