The organiser, MFG Baden-Württemberg, working with the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) e.V., has succeeded in attracting renowned speakers, including leading international figures such as David Weinberger (co-author of the “Cluetrain Manifesto”), to the industry’s leading trendsetting event.
In mid-June, experts from business and politics, along with providers and users, will once again discuss the current challenges facing interactive media. Half-day warm-up sessions on Intranet 2.0, employer branding and mobile (portability, usability, design) will kick things off. Internet philosopher and author David Weinberger will also develop his visions for interactive media in an exclusive workshop. The following day, he will open the congress itself with a keynote. The German Multimedia Award (DMMA), held since 1995, will be presented at the close of the two-day summer highlight. Oliver Welke will host the awards ceremony, which could hardly be more fitting given the activities offered (Kick & View) for the European Football Championship (including public viewing and human table football).
A Must-Attend Event for Users and Providers
“With its unique atmosphere and outstanding panels, the DMMK has been a genuine must-attend event for users and providers of interactive solutions for years,” says BVDW President Arndt Groth, emphasising the congress’s importance. This is also confirmed by the exceptionally good ratings from participants in previous years: the average grade of 1.6 speaks for itself. To bring providers and buyers together even better and in a more targeted way, there will be “Business Speed Dating” for the first time this year, where interested parties can gain an overview of the range of offerings and top trends in just a few minutes.
A Comprehensive Update on the Future of Interactive Media
“The DMMK addresses all the important trends and developments that point the way for interactive media,” says Marco Zingler, Managing Director of principal sponsor denkwerk. “Hardly anywhere else can interested parties receive such a comprehensive update while having such extensive opportunities to enrich their personal networks.” The renowned speakers at DMMK Digital Economy include Marcus Riecke (studiVZ), Marc Samwer (European Founders Fund), Joel Berger (MySpace), Richard Saggers (Haed of European Marketing, Vodafone Group), Harald Neidhardt (smaato) and Matthias Ehrlich (United Internet Media).
