More than 1,000 royalty-free footage clips are already available to download from clipdealer.de. Ambitious and professional videographers can upload their material and have ClipDealer market it in return for a commission.
Whether for a corporate film, trade-fair presentation or website eye-catcher, the videos—up to 60 seconds long—can be used for many purposes and save the high cost of an in-house production. Just one month after ClipDealer launched in March 2008, it already offers a large and rapidly growing selection of clips.
Ideal business motifs include a golf ball dropping precisely into the hole or a dynamically departing airplane. Flowers opening in time-lapse and various artfully staged animations provide compelling aesthetics. One particular highlight is the clip “Blue Glowing Planet Earth.”
All videos are available in up to five different resolutions, from web video to Full HD. Depending on the desired resolution, prices for a license with unlimited duration and geographic use range from €9.90 to €79.90 excluding VAT.
50 Percent Commission for Uploaders
Clip sellers receive 50 percent of the net sale price, less a processing fee of two euros. Sellers therefore benefit from significantly higher commissions than are customary on US video marketplaces. PAL is the minimum quality requirement for sellers’ clips.
